What is Bespoke Jewelry?

Bespoke jewellery is jewellery that is created specifically for a client or consumer. In other words, jewellery seen on the shelves of a retail store or on a large online marketplace such as Stone & Strand is not considered bespoke. Instead, if you visit a fine jewellery workshop to design a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, a particular necklace for your mother, or a lovely baby shower gift, these are all examples of bespoke jewellery.

The term "custom" is also used to describe bespoke jewellery. Custom crafted pieces, custom jewellery, and Bespoke Jewellery Designers are all essentially the same thing: entirely one-of-a-kind jewellery made only once for a special occasion or individual.

The bespoke process begins with a design meeting with one of our bespoke designers, during which we establish the groundwork for what we want to create and obtain a better knowledge of who we are designing for.

We look at stones and stylistic elements, metals, budgets, deadlines, and so on at this stage, which is free of charge. These factors aren't always evident at first and can take some time to sort through - which is where the fun begins.

Because of our particular style, we are able to take a unique and creative approach to developing products. Craftsmanship and individuality are at the forefront of our design approach, with all pieces lovingly created to last a lifetime. We think that jewellery should be imbued with thought and sentiment, qualities that will be passed down through generations through the passing on of valuable heirlooms.

Steven Stone specialises in the creation of bespoke wedding bands, engagement rings, and other one-of-a-kind custom-made jewellery. You can collaborate with our jewellery designers to bring your own designs to life or to turn outdated jewellery into a completely new item. We work with a variety of precious metals, including platinum, 18ct white, yellow, or rose gold, as well as all precious gemstones, including diamonds. With the assistance of our skilled in-house designer advisors, you can direct the creation or design matching sets. Throughout the process, you will be working with our jewellery experts to ensure that you get the exact design you want.

The cost of our custom-made jewellery varies based on the metal used, the stones used, and the complexity of the design. Our unique commissions are typically created using Computer Aided Design (CAD) and are occasionally handcrafted. If you commission from Steven Stone, you may expect huge savings compared to high street costs – although individual items will cost slightly more than mass-produced stuff in local jewellers. Please call one of our specialists or fill out the online enquiry form below to get a better sense of how much your ideas would cost to produce.

For select items, this means that we will handcraft your jewellery in our Pike Place Market studio. We may have a wax model printed and cast with one of our Seattle-based manufacturing partners for other products. We will always be honest with you about how your unique piece of jewellery will be created. And, regardless of the method of creation, your jewellery will be made with recycled metals and ethically sourced gemstones.

When it comes to Burgundy Bespoke Jewellers, the term "bespoke" is extremely important. If you're not familiar with the term, it means "tailored" or "made to fit," and it mirrors our approach to creating jewellery. We believe that every Australian should be able to have a piece of jewellery made specifically for them.

And it is stories like this, in which love blossoms, that make working in this field so enjoyable. After all, how many artisans get to be a part of forging the perfect union between two people? There aren't many. With that in mind, we'd like to inform you about the origins of the term "bespoke" and why it's so appropriate for the jeweller's trade.
